Welcome to TrueNorth OCD and Anxiety Specialists

You've been battling anxiety or OCD long enough. It's time for something that actually works.

At TrueNorth, we do one thing, and we do it exceptionally well: we treat OCD and anxiety disorders using the most effective, evidence-based methods available. That’s it. No generalists, no guessing, no one-size-fits-all therapy. Just a small team of passionate OCD and Anxiety experts.

Why Trust TrueNorth with Your OCD or Anxiety Therapy?

What Sets Us Apart

If your mind feels like it’s always on high alert—overanalyzing, doubting, scanning for danger, you’re not alone. Maybe you can’t stop replaying worst-case scenarios, or you have frightening thoughts, or you’re constantly seeking reassurance but never feel fully calm. Maybe you avoid certain places, triggers, people, or situations just to get through the day. Whether it’s OCD, panic attacks, social anxiety, health fears, or a general sense of dread that won’t lift, we understand how overwhelming it can feel.

You may have tried talk therapy or worked with a therapist who didn’t quite understand. They meant well, but the coping skills and general reassurance didn't really address the cycle underneath: the relentless loop of intrusive thoughts, compulsions, panic, avoidance, and exhausting mental noise that never seems to let up. At TrueNorth, we get it—because we specialize in this. And we know there’s a better way forward.

At TrueNorth, every therapist on our team specializes exclusively in OCD and anxiety.

You won’t waste time explaining the basics or wondering if you’re being misunderstood. From day one, you’ll receive targeted, evidence-based treatment using ERP, Exposure, and ACT—the gold-standard therapies that actually work.

We work with children, teens, and adults via secure telehealth, so getting help is as convenient as it is effective. Your therapist will know these disorders inside and out—because that’s all we treat.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (all subtypes: contamination, harm, checking, moral/religious, sexual, relationship, perfectionism, and more)

We understand that OCD can show up in many different forms, whether it’s contamination, harm, sexual, religious, checking, symmetry, or purely obsessional themes. No matter the content of your intrusive thoughts, our team of licensed therapists are specially trained to treat all subtypes of OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

Panic Disorder & Agoraphobia

Panic disorder and agoraphobia can take many different forms, whether it’s sudden, intense panic attacks, fear of being far from home, avoiding crowded places, or constantly monitoring your body for signs of danger. No matter how it shows up, our team of licensed therapists are specially trained to treat panic and agoraphobia using Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—the most effective, evidence-based approaches for breaking the cycle of fear and avoidance.

Health and Illness Anxiety

Health and illness anxiety can be all-consuming, whether it’s a fear of having a serious illness, constantly scanning your body for symptoms, excessive Googling, or seeking frequent reassurance from doctors or loved ones. No matter the specific health fears or symptoms, our team of licensed therapists are specially trained to treat health anxiety using Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—the most effective, evidence-based methods for reducing fear, breaking the reassurance cycle, and helping you feel more in control of your mind and body.

Social Anxiety Disorder

Social anxiety can show up in many ways, whether it’s fear of judgment, avoiding conversations or social events, overanalyzing how you come across, or constantly worrying about saying the “wrong” thing. No matter the situation, our team of licensed therapists are specially trained to treat social anxiety using Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—the most effective, research-backed approaches for reducing avoidance, building confidence, and helping you feel more comfortable being yourself in social situations.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) can feel like your mind is always spinning, worrying about everything from health and relationships to work, the future, or even things that haven’t happened yet. Whether your worry feels constant, overwhelming, or hard to control, our team of licensed therapists are specially trained to treat GAD using Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—evidence-based approaches that help you break free from chronic worry, tolerate uncertainty, and live with more calm, clarity, and confidence.

OCD Spectrum Disorders

OCD spectrum disorders can be just as distressing and impairing as OCD itself. Whether you're struggling with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), trichotillomania (hair pulling), dermatillomania (skin picking), or other body-focused repetitive behaviors, you’re not alone—and effective help is available. Our team of licensed therapists are specially trained to treat these conditions using evidence-based approaches like Habit Reversal Training (HRT), Exposure Therapy, and aspects of CBT —helping you interrupt the cycle, reduce urges, and reclaim your quality of life.

Bringing Effective OCD and Anxiety Treatment Into the Places It Matters Most—Your Real Life

OCD and anxiety don’t show up in a therapist’s office—they show up in your kitchen, your car, your bedroom, the grocery store, or while you're scrolling your phone at midnight. That’s why telehealth therapy is such a powerful fit for treating these conditions. It allows us to meet you exactly where your symptoms live, and guide you through real-time exposures in the exact environments where anxiety tends to take over.

Anxiety and OCD interventions including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) work best when they are applied in context, not in a neutral office, but in the messy, unpredictable places where anxiety actually shows up. With telehealth, your TrueNorth therapist will guide and coach you through those moments in the actual places where they are likely to occur. Whether it's overcoming something you've been avoiding or find triggering, or helping you to resist a compulsive urge to check, google, seek reassurance or wash. We're there with you, helping you face the fear instead of avoid it.

Take for example a client struggling with contamination OCD. Through telehealth, we are able to guide the client as they touch “contaminated” household surfaces—like light switches, countertops, and laundry—without immediately washing. We can offer in-the-momen support and help them to build new tolerance skills, while they practice resisting compulsions in real time. That kind of targeted, meaningful exposure simply wouldn’t have been as effective in a traditional office setting.

Getting Started Is Simple

Finding the right therapist for OCD or anxiety can feel overwhelming, especially when you're already carrying so much mental weight. That’s why we’ve made it simple. At TrueNorth, we’re a small, boutique group practice, and every single one of our therapists is an expert in treating OCD and anxiety disorders. It’s the only thing we do. No matter who you choose, you can be confident they know what they're doing.

Start by browsing the licensed therapists available in your state. You can view a bit about their background, and book your first session directly from our website... no waitlist, no phone tag, no worries.

Still have questions, concerns or not quite sure who to choose? We get it. That’s why we also offer a free, no-obligation consultation with one of our Clinical Directors. We’ll talk with you, learn more about your symptoms and goals, and help you decide if TrueNorth is the right fit. You can schedule that consultation directly from our site as well.

Whether you’re ready to begin or just exploring your options, we’re here to make that first step feel a little less daunting—and a lot more hopeful.
